Kashef system leverages a modular design where a large number of basic building blocks ( called Kashef Components or KACs for short ) are available out of the box that can then be used in creating more complex blocks. Implementing a monitoring solution therefore becomes the process of creating new configurations based on these blocks or using an existing available configuration which comes in the form of a KPack ( Kashef Pack ). This is analogous to creating circuit boards from basic electronic components such as transistors, resisters and capacitors.

KACs are available for retrieving data from a variety of sources and converting it into a unified internal structure called a Kashef signal. Once converted, this collected information is then manipulated and analyzed using another set of KACs (signal analyzers). When the data is ready to be communicated; visualization or notification related KACs can be used. A single KAC has 0 or more input connectors and one or more output connectors. Signals are propagated between KACs using these connectors. The combination of KACs weaved together for a common purpose can create reusable and complex analysis modules or KPacks.

KPacks are freely available on theArcher Innovation Group site.Archer Innovation Group team is continuously working on new KPacks and will be publishing those as they become available. Kashef users are also encouraged to submit their KPacks for official publication for the benefit of the IT community.
